Did You Know?

                                          Did You Know?

You should have your furnace or boiler cleaned and adjusted by a trained professional once a year.  Properly adjusted gas pressure is important to a boiler/furnace's efficiency.

You should change the filter in your furnace once a year.

Boilers need to be flushed every 1 - 2 years.

Do you hear trickling sounds in your walls, cealing or floor?  This is usually a good indication that your boiler is working harder than it needs to, it should be flushed and purged.

If you have baseboard hot water heat:

Pull the trim off and vacuum the element useing a soft paint brush to sweep out the dust.  Doing this will allow more heat to come into the room.

If the fins are bent, gently straighten them.

Close the heat registers in any room not being used.

We also suggest you replace all your thermostats with digital, programable thermostats.  (find them at your local home improvement store)  Experts say these will save you 20% - 30% on your next heat bill!
